I received an email from my step-grandfather about all of the flooding and disaster that happened in Iowa in 2008. Granted, it was 2 years ago. But what bugged me was that no one really knew about it, and i didnt even know until two years later when the damage has been done. Because Iowa isnt exactly inhabited like New York or New Orleans and because its not necessarily "needed" for the survival of America, no one really cared enough to get involved. Where was Bono and Fergie to help raise funds to deal with the massive amounts of damage and lives lost? I think it kinda stinks that bigger, more popular cities get tons of attention when a small tornado hits, but when a regular town gets hit with 7 feet of nasty water, its nothing to get excited about.
I guess the VIPs really do get it all.

Russian Adoption
Im pro adoption all the way. I think its awesome that infertile families can experience the love and joy a child can bring into their lives. Im actually writing a 11 minute speech about the option of adoption over abortion, and how little information is given to parents who are not ready to raise a child. But i heard of a story on the news a few weeks ago about some woman in the tri-state area who adopted a child from Russia, and turns out he was a demon child. Maybe not literally, but he threatened to kill her and catch the house on fire and a whole slew of criminal behavior, even though he was still a child below the double digit range. It reminds me that alot of behavior is actually biological, and that alot of orphans are the result of a mother who did drugs while pregnant. You cant really know for sure what child is right for you or if they will turn out to be the complete opposite of what you thought. I guess faith is the only thing you can hold on to in those types of situations
